Published on 18 May 2025
World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD), observed annually on 15 June, aims to raise awareness of the rights of older people and promote their dignity and safety. This important day serves as a reminder that everyone deserves a secure, respectful, and safe home.
In the lead-up to WEAAD, drop-in craft sessions will be held at Cheltenham, Parkdale, and Chelsea Libraries from 1–7 June 2025. Create symbolic homes to be featured in a special touring exhibition that highlights the need for safe, supportive communities for older people.
