Do you love using bookmarks? Ever thought, “I could design a cooler one!”? Now’s your chance to bring your ideas to life!

We're inviting kids and young people aged 5 to 18 to get creative and design a bookmark that could be part of a brand-new range for the library. That means your artwork could be seen (and used!) by readers across Kingston!

When to enter:
Monday 20 April 2026 to Sunday 31 May 2026

Winners announced:
Friday 26 June 2026

Let your imagination run wild! You can use pencils, paints, markers, collage—or mix it all together. Want to draw your favourite characters? Create a colourful pattern? Design a mini comic strip? Go for it! There are no limits, just lots of creativity.

How to enter:
Grab your entry form(PDF, 1MB)  or collect one from a library near you. Drop your masterpiece into any Kingston Libraries branch or email it to library@kingston.vic.gov.au. Don’t forget to include your details and a parent/guardian signature.

✨ Tips for success:

  • Make it bright, bold and eye-catching.
  • Think about what makes a bookmark fun to use.
  • Be original—this is your chance to show your unique style!

So grab your art supplies, get creating, and design a bookmark that’s truly one of a kind. Your next great idea could be the one everyone is using to save their page!
