Drop into our dedicated youth spaces, join a writing group or gaming session, or get help with schoolwork. We’ve got free Wi-Fi, study zones, friendly staff, workshops, and heaps of books, graphic novels, and eResources — all free with your library card.

Disc Golf Discs

Disc Golf is a fun recreational activity for people of all ages. The aim of the game is to throw your disc from the tee pad into the disc catching basket in the least number of throws.

Disc golf discs are available to borrow from Clarinda Library and Chelsea Library for use on the disc golf courses at Bald Hills Park or Bicentennial Park. 

Discs may be returned to any Kingston Libraries branch.

Dungeons & Dragons

Learn to play Dungeons & Dragons, then join us for a series of epic adventures in a friendly, fun and relaxed atmosphere.

Each session is self-contained, so don’t worry if you can’t join us for all of them. 

Bookings required. Please arrive on time.

Suitable for ages 12-17 years old.

  • Parkdale: Fortnightly on Mondays 4pm to 6pm
  • Westall: Fortnightly on Fridays 4pm to 6pm

PS5 enthusiasts, get excited! Cheltenham Library has a PS5, offering hours of free gaming fun. Settle into our comfy seats, fire up the big screen, and dive into thrilling games like Moving Out, Death Squared, Quack Jump, and Minecraft Legends. Bring your skills, challenge your friends, and enjoy the ultimate gaming experience.

Nintendo Switch fans haven’t been forgotten! 

Head to Chelsea, Clarinda, or Westall Libraries to drop in and play. Just see the staff to borrow a device/game and get started.

Study Spaces Sorted!

Need a quiet spot to focus or a place to study with friends?

Across our branches, you’ll find welcoming spaces perfect for individual or group study. No booking needed, just drop in and settle down.

And great news for high schoolers:

We are introducing Parkdale Library Youth Study Space!

From Monday 20 October to Saturday 29 November, this dedicated area is set aside just for students. Whether you're cramming for exams, finishing assignments or revising with classmates, it's your go-to study zone. 

  • Enjoy free Wi-Fi, resources and public computers. Need a break? Grab a book or graphic novel for a distraction.
  • Bring your notes, your laptop, and anything you need to study.

Kingston Youth Services

Platform 81 serves as the home of Kingston Youth Services. Platform 81 hosts a range of community-based programs for young people aged 12 to 25 who have a connection to Kingston (live, work, study).
