Winter is here, and that means it’s time to curl up with a good book and join Kingston Libraries for the Warm Winter Read 2025! Running from 1 June to 31 August, this statewide campaign encourages readers aged 16 and over to build stronger reading habits, discover new stories, and win bookish prizes along the way.

Whether you read for five minutes or five hours, every page counts! Simply register at readbooks.com.au/wwr and start logging your reading days or writing quick book reviews to go into the draw for prizes. You can also pick up paper reading trackers and review forms from your local Kingston Libraries branch if you prefer offline participation.

How It Works

Register online at readbooks.com.au/wwr
Track your reading days or submit short reviews
Unlock prize levels the more you read or review
Win great prizes, thanks to our campaign sponsors Libby, uLibrary and Wilkinson Publishing

There are also seven fun reading challenges to try - like creating a cosy reading nook, exploring different genres like historical fiction or graphic novels, and sharing your reads on social media using #WWR25. Bookmark themes and reading lists have been curated by an amazing lineup of author ambassadors, including Christian White, Melanie Cheng, Rachael Johns, and more.
