Great news! We're piloting a Writers in Residence program!
Published on 28 April 2026
One of Australia's leading women's lifestyle journalists, Kimberly Gillan, has escaped her home office to enjoy 10 weeks in residence at Dingley Village Library.
As part of her residency with us, she is inviting you to join her for a 2-part Creative Writing for Beginners workshop.
'My aim is to have fun but be informative and get everyone’s creativity flowing,' Kimberly told us. 'I have planned the workshop so I can engage with those who have a project underway and those who have ideas but haven’t written anything yet.'
'I am truly excited to run this workshop, and it will be an engaging, energetic learning experience for everyone,' she said.
Kimberly joins actor, writer and voice artist Jessica Stanley and writer, actor and director Alistair Ward for our inaugural residency program.
Alistair and Kimberly also have a participatory event and workshop planned for June.
‘Dingley Library is a lovely space and I am enjoying coming here,' Kimberly said. 'I am focused and writing!'
Stay tuned for a chat with Jessica Stanley and Alistair Ward coming soon!
