Experience local history like you never have before.

Walking and talking with Kingston Libraries’ Heritage Specialist, we’ll start in the Peter Scullin Reserve and walking less than 500 metres, we’ll explore 10,000 years of history for Mordialloc and the Kingston coastline.

We’ll start at the Macdonald homestead marker and then stop for a cuppa and a story in the gorgeous rotunda built in 1925. Here we’ll read a Boon Wurrung story, written down for the first time, after 10,000 years of oral tradition. We’ll then end our walk at the mouth of the Mordialloc Creek, talking about the lifecycle of eels and why that matters today.

Participants will need to be able to walk 500 metres and climb a set of stairs unaided. Bring a raincoat/umbrella in case of inclement weather.
