An author based on a beautiful flower farm in the Yarra Valley, Wurundjeri land, Victoria, Australia, Eliza is known for her compelling storytelling. Her latest novel, Salt and Skin, was published by Ultimo Press in 2022 in ANZ and by September Publishing in 2023 for the UK and US markets.
Eliza has written several other works, including In the Quiet (2015), Ache (2017), and young adult novels P is for Pearl (2018) and How to Grow a Family Tree (2020). Her novels have garnered nominations for prestigious awards such as the Readings Prize for New Australian Fiction and the NSW Premier’s Literary Awards.
She has held residencies at Varuna, the National Writers’ House (NSW), the Katharine Susannah Prichard Writers’ Centre (WA), and the Tyrone Guthrie Centre in Ireland. Recently, she participated in a residency with the Foundation for Australian Literary Studies at the Australian Institute of Marine Science in Townsville.
Eliza also has a PhD in creative writing and qualifications in psychology and grief counselling.
