Walking and talking with Kingston Libraries’ Heritage Specialist, we’ll start in the Peter Scullin Reserve and walking less than 500 metres, we’ll explore 10,000 years of history for Mordialloc and the Kingston coastline.

Starting at the Macdonald homestead marker and then stop for a cuppa and a story in the gorgeous rotunda built in 1925. Here we’ll read a Boon Wurrung story, written down for the first time, after 10,000 years of oral tradition.

Finishing up our walk at the mouth of the Mordialloc Creek, talking about the lifecycle of eels and why that matters today.

Participants will need to be able to walk 500 metres and climb a set of stairs unaided.

  • The walk will start at 10.30am.
  • The meeting point is the Peter Scullin Reserve sign on Beach Rd.
  • Bring a raincoat/umbrella for inclement weather.
  • Light refreshments will be provided.

This event is part of Seniors Festival.
